Ilana is one of the sweetest actresses i've met...she has a great personality and she gave me lots of ideas for when I played Lucy! Yay Lucys!:) She is a great actress and singer, her comic ability is perfect!

When I first saw YAGMCB way back when they first began their pre-Broadway
tour, I have to admit that I didn't really find myself that impressed with
Ilana's performance as Lucy. It was rather one dimensional at that time. It
just seemed as if she wasn't putting as much into the character as the
character deserved. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed.
Then, at almost the end of the show's run, I got to see it again. I was
expecting another stellar performance from the ensemble in general, but not
from Ilana individually. I couldn't have been more wrong.
She blew me away! She had added so much to her portrayal since I had last
seen her. It was as if it was an entirely different person. I noticed the
smallest differences in her performance, but those tiny things made the
character one hundred times more believeable. Little facial expressions,
little noises she would make, little changes in body language. I noticed so
much more depth in her Lucy. Lucy had become a multi-faceted character. I
actually found myself thinking of her as Lucy, and not just an actress
playing a role. I was amazed.
I consider myself very lucky that I am able to say that I was there at the
beginning as well as at the end. But even more, I am proud that I can say I
saw two different portrayals of Lucy. I think I can appreciate her
performance more now that I know how much her character changed and grew.
She is an incredible talent.
